Filmmaking is stressful, complex, requires many crew with decades of experience, lot’s of moving parts, and millions of dollars in budget and equipment… If this was true, Hollywood would be making better movies. My names Thomas Proffitt, I’m a Philly-based Writer, Director, DP, Editor, and Jack of all trades. I believe in the 80/20 principle, finding the 20% that gets 80% of the results. I’ve been guided by this principle for almost a decade, questioning much of the logic that is assumed or taught in filmmaking, sometimes to my own detriment, but it’s resulted in my unique style of work and thinking.
